El Prado Senior’s Golf Club

About El Prado Senior’s Golf Club

We are an organized group of approximately 100 men over the age of 50 who play golf every Tuesday and Thursday.  Our membership represents all walks of life: Firemen, Policemen, Ironworkers, Aerospace, Medicine, Attorneys, Manufacturing and more.

Our home course is the El Prado Golf Course located in Chino, California.  We alternate play between El Prado's two challenging 18-hole golf courses: Chino Creek and Butterfield Stage.  We have an optional pot game that pays the lowest net scores for one or more flights, "Closest to the Pin", and "Longest Putt".   We also play optional gross and net skins: on Tuesdays, net skins are based on 75% of the individual’s handicap index – and on Thursdays, skins are based on 100% of the individual’s index.   Our handicaps are maintained by SCGA/GHIN.

We have an away tournament on the last Tuesday of most months at a course within a 25-mile radius of El Prado. The format of the away tournament always includes some form of foursome best ball, individual low net, closest to the pin, and longest putt.  We also play optional gross and net skins as above.
